Every number shows where it came from
Distances use the haversine formula on a sphere of radius 6,371.0088 km, printed with your own inputs. County figures come straight from Census tables: Vintage 2024 population, the 2024 Gazetteer, and SAIPE 2023 income. When a live service such as the geocoder or the router fails, the tool says it is unavailable instead of estimating.
d = 2R · asin(√h)
h = sin²(Δφ/2) + cos φ1 · cos φ2 · sin²(Δλ/2)
R = 6,371.0088 km
density = population ÷ land area
= 340,110,988 ÷ 3,533,469 sq mi
= 96.25 per sq mi
